Judy Anderson is a visual artist whose mixed-media paintings and book forms incorporate words and images as they express her relationship with nature, the built environment, and the culture that surrounds her. She often works in series that have been inspired by artist residencies in the United States and Italy, collaborating with poets to imbed narratives that invite the viewer to “read” the work in a number of ways. Her book forms transcend conventional limitations of ordinary books, retaining the soulful pleasures of private reverie. She is an artist and teacher, and is passionately involved in PlatteForum, an artist residency center in Denver, Colorado created in 2002.
